The Opportunity
Our client, operating within the prestigious London insurance market is looking for a Financial Analyst to support the Finance Director across financial analysis and reporting, while also helping coordinate activity with international subsidiaries and maintaining key governance/compliance tracking.
This is a great role for someone early in their finance career who is analytical, highly organised, and comfortable handling confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
Financial analysis & reporting
- Support monthly/quarterly/annual reporting cycles (data collection, consolidation, variance analysis)
- Produce trend analysis, scenario comparisons and basic financial models
- Maintain trackers, dashboards and key finance KPIs
- Assist with board packs, management presentations and ad-hoc analysis
International coordination
- Liaise with finance teams across group entities (e.g., Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Singapore)
- Track deadlines for monthly accounts, audits and deliverables
- Follow up on reconciliations, documentation and outstanding information
- Keep communication logs and support consistent reporting formats
Compliance & governance support
- Maintain compliance calendars (audit, tax, corporate and regulatory deadlines)
- Track statutory filings, board meeting requirements and document renewals
- Assist with documentation for auditors, regulators and legal advisors
- Maintain secure handling of sensitive registers and documents
Executive / admin support
- Calendar management and meeting coordination
- Prepare agendas, capture minutes and track actions
- Handle confidential correspondence and internal communications
Document management
- Maintain organised SharePoint folders and version control
- Support templates, trackers and structured reporting files
Projects
- Assist with budgeting cycles, process improvements and systems enhancements
- Provide support on data gathering for M&A / due diligence where required
Skills & Qualifications (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business (or related)
- Strong analytical capability and understanding of financial statements
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Discretion with confidential/sensitive information
- Confident communicator able to coordinate across teams and countries
- Strong Excel skills (plus Word/PowerPoint); comfortable with SharePoint
