THE BUSINESS
My client is a fast-growing business operating within the Insurance space, they provide their clients with insurance and reinsurance services on a global basis and pride themselves on providing a quality and bespoke service to their Brokers and Clients. THE ROLE

They are on the hunt for a skilled and dynamic Operations Manager to join their friendly City based team. Your role would be about supporting the Head of Business Operations, CRO and Chair of the Operations Management Board in managing the operations of the company, with specific focus on managing the outsourcing and third parties and ensuring operational resilience practices are embedded across the business.

Operational Performance

  • Operational support to the Head of Business Operations and the Chief Risk Officer
  • Work closely with key senior stakeholders in the development and delivery of the Operational Strategy objectives
  • Maintain and update the library of company-wide policies and procedures
  • Member and Secretary of the Operations Management Board
  • The person who bridges the gaps between functions and teams

Operational Resilience

  • Report on operational resilience performance, supporting in meeting coordination between various teams
  • Work in partnership with the Operational Resilience Working Group to implement a system of testing operational resilience and materiality thresholds
  • Manage the company’s compliance with the Operational Resilience Principle, implementing remediation actions for improvements

Outsourcing and Third Parties

  • Maintain the outsourcing and third-party register
  • Support on the procurement of outsourced providers, manage the on-boarding of them
  • Track the performance of all critical third parties and outsourced providers, considering operational resilience thresholds
